We are looking for world class talent to join our team of over 200 people at our R&D Centre in Malmö, who are working on the future of IoT, to deliver outstanding user experiences, on both physical and digital products and services.

The role

Working in our Web & App team, you will conduct design research, then, building on insights and observations that you gather, you will build and test prototypes to inform interaction and design decisions for our mobile and web applications. Through continuous research and iteration, you will be instrumental in evolving our customer applications as technology, behaviours and design patterns change. 

You will be part of our growing, multi-disciplinary design team located at our R&D centre in Malmö, Sweden, located 5 minutes walk from the central station. As we are a global company some travel is required, primarily to our other R&D centre in Madrid, Spain and our global headquarter in Geneva, Switzerland. 

We are looking for a talented

  • Problem seeker; a person with an analytical brain, who uses a range of tools and methods to find the root cause of user problem(s).
  • Problem solver; a person who will leave no stone unturned in their quest to solve user problems and iteratively validate design concepts.
  • Change maker; a person with the ability to synthesise design process and research, and use it to their advantage when managing business objectives and stakeholders, ensuring that UX direction is carried through into build
  • UX Champion; a person who stands up for users and makes sure that their voice is heard and understood throughout the process.

You will

  • Determine research objectives and employ a wide range of research methods, including but not limited to, strategic design research and contextual inquiry, participatory design workshops, formative and summative usability studies, analytics and UX metrics.
  • Synthesise insights and identify opportunities, making sense of everything that was said and observed in the research phase. Then, develop compelling ways to communicate these insights and opportunities to the agile team, stakeholders and non-designers.
  • Design, conduct, analyse, and present research in a fast-paced software development environment, from early strategic direction through to post-release validation.
  • Iteratively prototype and test solutions using low and high fidelity tools as required.
  • Work with stakeholders, interaction designers and developers to bring designs to life, balancing user needs, business requirements and technical constraints.
  • Work with modern project management methodologies (e.g. agile, lean UX)
  • Be aware of the latest digital trends and industry best practices, and use this knowledge to evolve products and features when and where it is appropriate.

What we mean by UX Design 

UX design is the process of researching user needs, defining pain points and opportunities, and designing meaningful solutions based on evidence. UX is not just UI. Research is mandatory.

Your profile 

Above all else, we are looking for someone who is willing to get their hands dirty, apply their existing knowledge, and learn skills and techniques on the job. UX & Design mentoring will be provided to the right person. 

You might be

  • A junior designer with some hands-on experience with a start-up or multinational.
  • Someone with passion and some design knowledge looking to get into UX.
  • A fresh graduates from design courses.

Minimum requirements

  • University degree, preferably BA or BS degree.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Additional qualifications

  • Fluent in Spanish, both written and spoken.
  • Experience working in a start-up environment.
  • Experience conducting expert reviews, PURE Method, Framework testing.
  • Experience with coding.
  • Experience with designing for accessibility.
  • Experience in using prototype tools like in Just in mind, Sketch, Noodle, Axure, InVision, or others.
